Hello Rusty Bridge Bidding Folk! Trust everyone is well! For those of you not away, exploring other climes and topographies, Lady Dar and I would like to host bridge this evening, anytime after 6:30 pm. Etta and Duke have been practicing their bidding skills so are anxious to show them off. Let me know if we have enough players to show these Cat Card Sharks a thing or two and we'll plan accordingly. I'm off to have my incision staples removed this morning so the bridge prizes this evening will be of a calibre well worth winning! Cheers, Hip Hippster Patrizzio!

Pic: Hi Dorothea! Trust you are enjoying your holiday. Just wanted to show you that the lovely Norfolk Pine is being well guarded by Duke and Etta, their favourite potted plant on our back patio! Travel safely.

I'm game tonight! Will be there around 6.30pm. Jos Hi Patrick; Yes I can make it tonight. Thanks for offering to host! Pam Patrick, Thank you for hosting bridge tonight. You and Corinne are the hosts with the most. I set sail for the Maritimes tomorrow so lots of last minute matters to attend to today and tonight. So won’t make it tonight. Have fun all. Pam Hi Maritime Bound Naramatian! Sorry we won't have the pleasure of your company this evening but am pleased to learn tha tyou will soon be en route to a favourite part of our country. Have a wonderful time and let us know when you are back and ready to play. Jos and Spumoni will be playing this evening so at least we'll have one table. Lady Dar took me to have my staples removed this morning. All went very well so looks like I will be enrolling in React, at Penticton Community Pool/Gym, next week. Then the stationary bike!

Lady Dar, Chloë and our niece, Rebekah, visiting form Ottawa, were doing some wine-tasting yesterday afternoon. Stopped at Marichel and were very impressed with your on-going renovations/expansion. Lady Dar thought your view prospects would be even more spectacular once everything is finished. Trust you are both pleased with how things are going. Have a great time and travel safely. Fondestos from Lady Dar. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Staples and staple remover!

Patrick, Thank you for your note. I am pleased to hear about your progress following surgery. You sound very upbeat. Progress is steady at the house but we would like it to be faster. Living is a very disruptive. ‘I know that you are supposed to enjoy the journey but we will both be happy to have this project complete. Look forward to catching up with the bridge gang upon my return. Pam Hello Traveler! I suppose you'll be eating lobster when you read this! Don't fuss about slow progress or renno project. It will all be a distant memory which you can laugh and cry and laugh about before you know it! Cheers, Patrizzio!

Hi Stormin'! Trust you are well. Sorry I'll miss another sample sale but we won't be in Vancouver until the week of October 17th-23rd, to volunteer at the Vancouver Writers Festival. Had my left hip replaced on September 14th, at UBC, by Clive Duncan, same surgeon who did my right hip in 2010. Extremely pleased with how everything went and Lady Dar took me to have my staples removed this morning. All fine with incision so looks like I will be enrolling in React's rehab program, at Penticton Community Pool/Gym, next week. Then the stationary bike! Fondestos to you, Janet and Lucy from Cora Lee. Cheers, Il Conduttore! Pics: Staple removal! Just like stuffing a turkey, in reverse, in time for Thanksgiving! Your emails with pics of your wound and extracted metal staples are simply what we all live for xoxo Just wait for full frontal nudity, soon to be on Hallmark! We call that sort of content Hallmark Afterdark Wouldn't have it any other way! Cheers, The Dark is Rising!!!!

Hi Pat I'm going to be on the list for my hip shortly. Did you get a steal hip or ceramic? Glad your healing well. Norm Hi Stormin'! Thanks for good wishes. Glad to learn that you are on the list although sorry to hear that you need to undergo surgery in the first place. I have had Titanium inserts for both hips and so far not a spot of bother, especially with right hip as I've had it since 2010. Didn't even know that ceramic material was an option. Guess you wouldn't set off alarms in airports with latter! Buona Fortuna when time comes. Until then, my advice is to try and be as fit as possible before surgery. Common sense with respect to one's weight as well, it goes without saying. Post-surgery, be very, very disciplined about doing the rehab exercises but then you have your own personal trainer who can crack the whip! All the best, Stormin'. Cheers, Il Conduttore! Pic: Jos and her husband, Aarturo, lent me their stationary bike for rehab once I'm cleared to use it. Will be great as I'll only have to walk to our Rumpus Room and can watch porn while I'm cycling!

Conductoré, What a great looking butt! May I print those photos and frame them? You should have left the staples in … in lieu of other piercings …Talk soon. I hope I can finagle a freeload in October. Depends how my Dad settles in. He is home now for the time being at least. cheers//bjp Hi Ragin' Pleased you like my tush! Print away!! I've kept staples and plan to use them as bridge prizes or else make a necklace for Lady Dar!

Pleased to learn that your Dad is back home, although I'm sure it isn't any easier. Keep us informed about a visit in October but just to remind you posted highway signs say snow tires required after October 1st. Certainly on Coquihalla, due to elevation but, personally, I don't think you need them on Hope-Princeton before December. Last year, back from India, we drove home on December 11th, that way, and had no difficulty, whatsoever. That being said, one needs to monitor weather reports.

Had a note back from Stormin' Norman and he is on the list for a hip replacement! I think Glasgow is a candidate, as well, but from what I have observed, he is in denial. I should know as that was me between 2004 and 2010! Take care of yourself, Ragin'! All the best. Cheers, Il Conduttore!

Glad to hear things are good. Sounds like things are well in hand. Take care T Hi Mama T! Thanks for good wishes. Josinta and Spumoni came over for bridge this evening and we had a lovely time, although I wasn't a particularly gracious host, managing to win top score! Still, they came away with more than fabulous prizes so were quite content, in the end! Fondestos from Lady Dar. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Bridge fiends!

Hi Marilyn! Trust you are well and that Stanchion Man's Anacortes weekend was a blast. Be most delighted to read any poetry you can find the time and energy to write, although I really am not a particularly insightful critic. Fondestos to one and all from Nursemaid Lady Dar. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: Rebekah and Chloë bidding farewell to the kittens before heading back to Vancouver. Rebekah, (our niece from Ottawa), flew into Kelowna on Friday and Chloë and Cora Lee drove up to her collect her that evening. She returns to Ottawa on Saturday. Duke boycotts mouse!
