Shave and a Haircut Sushi Blues: Friday, February 5th!

The hardest thing about any political campaign is how to win without proving that you are unworthy of winning. -Adlai Stevenson, governor, ambassador (5 Feb 1900-1965)

Dear Patrick, Thank you for visiting us at Penticton Dentist/Enamel Dental Centre. We appreciate your business and value you as a patient. To help us continue our high quality of service, we invite you to click here to submit a review and take a brief survey.

Dear PD/EDC! I was unable to submit this review on your site so have included it below.

While yesterday's appointment was probably the longest time that I've ever spent in a dentist's office, I was extremely pleased with both the highly sophisticated process and the simply wonderful care and manner provided by both Amy and Dr Jung. Both are very personable individuals, highly sensitive and attentive to one's needs and concerns at all stages of the work in progress. In my observation, James is genuinely appreciative of and complimentary towards his staff. Something one likes to see in professionals of any kind, of course.

I couldn't have been happier with the results and the overall experience. I cannot recommend PD/EDC highly enough. While I don't necessarily look forward to the next visit, for obvious reasons, I know that I will be in remarkably capable, competent, caring hands when I do. Thanks again, Cheers, Patrizzio!

This morning I took Dusty to Mark the Barber and we both had haircuts. Met The Sisterhood at The Book Shop and then we drove to Lee's for a wonderful lunch. Rosita has been there three times already, first for me, so she is a pretty "hip" 91 year old mother-in-law! Lady Dar was introduced to place by The Flatlanders. I'd only been next door, to Fritz's when I bough my hiking boots back in June!

Chloƫ, Mme Coriandre and I will go to the 3:30 pm showing of Room in an hour or so, now that we don't have to go to the airport this afternoon. Unfortunately, Ayn won't be able to fly up this weekend. She phoned earlier this morning to say that her flight from LA to Vancouver had been cancelled as plane was still in Hawaii, due to a breakdown of some sort. Although it seems rather improbable, the airline in question was not able to find any alternative flights that would allow her to make her Penticton connection. She could probably come much later tomorrow but since she has to leave early on Monday morning, it is hardly worth it. She is planning to visit Falcon Lake, where her grandparents live, this summer, when we hope to be there as well, so trust that trip will unfold without any difficulties.

Hi Patrick...well, I did survive bridge camp but I'm slightly bruised. I had a great time but I think I'm going to take a pass however on learning it for awhile...I'm not ready for it and it's not ready for me! Thanks for asking about Nancy...she is fine. I did manage to walk the one block home thru that driving snowstorm but it was touch and go...more than one block and I might have gotten lost!. Wow, the food was incredible! Tell Corrine she is a great cook.   Great idea on carpooling for the hikes but I often do not make up my mind until Monday morning at the last minute so car pooling may not work for awhile. By the way, I think Dusty and Clara are pretty cool! I'll probably see ya Monday (but I'm not sure yet if I'm going). Say hi to Corrine, Clara and Dusty for me. Bill

Hi Patrick! Thanks for your detailed account of your crown experience. I am always on the lookout for a good dentist and I like the idea of a ceramic hand made crown. It should really be bonded, rather than cemented though, so I hope you are wrong and it was actually bonded. Bonding uses UV light to cure a resin based product.... So your dentist is Dr. James Jung? Glad you and your Father-in-law are almost done with the patio. Looks good! And glad you got to experience "Lee's" for lunch. It's a great restaurant. I had the wonton soup with vegetable last time I was there with the Flatlanders. Today I enjoyed eating lunch at Lachi on Main Street with Marlene from Oasis. They have a great lunch menu. For just 8.95 I got Chicken Sag (spinach curry), a pile of rice, naan bread and salad. It was really delicious. Looking forward to playing bridge! See you on Monday. Pam

Oh ya, sorry your daughter from LA had to cancel her flight! Between her and Chloe that's a lot of planes that aren't working properly! Better to catch them before flying, that's for sure, but kinds screws up your reunion. At least you have got Chloe here to bond with you and her grandparents.....

Hey Patrizzio, Just came home from the Masterworks Ensemble playing in Summerland (mostly baroque). Your dental operation sounds like a glorified butcher shop! Quite interesting though how they do this nowadays. How much did you pay per crown? I am up for one next week or so and this is ~1300+.
Sorry to read that Ayn could not come, so Dusty and Rosita will miss her. Give Cloe a big hug for us and also Rosita & Rusty if we miss them. Hope to see you on Monday. Cheers, Aarturo and Josefa
