Mastercraftsman Tall Cabinet Blues: Saturday, December 9th!

If the gods listened to the prayers of men, all humankind would quickly perish since they constantly pray for many evils to befall one another. -Epicurus, philosopher (c. 341-270 BCE)

Buongiorno Patrizzio e grazioso Corribo, Thank you for your elaborate note on storage cabinets, now I can spare myself the research when I need one (but they will probably all be out of stock)! We gladly except your invitation to come January 16th. Remind us please who Clara & Dusty are. What time do you expect us and what can we bring? We look forward to it! Hugs, Aarturo & Josefa

Hello Venezuelans! (Very impressed with your pidgin Spanish, Aarturo! Delighted that you will be able to join us! Rosita, (Rosie-the-Riveter/aka Clarisse/Clara), and No-Good Durston, (Norman Glen/Dusty), are Mme Coriandre's parents, arriving on Tuesday, from Winterpeg, Manisnowba. Anytime around 6:00 pm on Saturday and just bring your scintillating personalities as we can feast on your more than interesting lives for years!

After Lady Darjeeling and I put together the two Mastercraft cabinets yesterday afternoon, we showered and changed and then took in Quentin Tarantino's latest, The Hateful Eight:

While racing toward the town of Red Rock in post-Civil War Wyoming, bounty hunter John "The Hangman" Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) encounter another bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) and a man who claims to be a sheriff. Hoping to find shelter from a blizzard, the group travels to a stagecoach stopover located on a mountain pass. Greeted there by four strangers, the eight travelers soon learn that they may not make it to their destination after all.
Not sure if you know or like his films, (Mme Coriandre finds his work too, too violent for her refined tastes but I've been a fan ever since his Reservoir Dogs.), but it was certainly vintage Tarantino, this time in a wild west, as opposed to an urban underbelly/mean streets or WWII setting.
You, of all guitar strumming people, might well appreciate the sound track as the original music is by Ennio Morricone. I'm sure you will remember Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Westerns and the distinctive score of their 1964 classic, A Fistful of Dollars.

As soon as I've sent this message I will spend the rest of the morning/early afternoon putting all my tools and other materials in the new storage cabinets. Then we are back to
the Landmark,to see The Revenant, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, at the 4:10 pm matinee. If interested, you are more than welcome to join us. Interestingly enough, I heard a remarkable interview, with Duane Howard, who stars as Elk Dog in the film, this morning on CBC Radio One's North by Northwest with Sheryl Mackay. As a teen Duane spent a considerable number of years addicted to drugs and alcohol on the streets of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside before leaving that life behind to return to school and eventually work in social services, helping others caught in the same whirlpool of poverty and despair.  At any rate, it is Lady Dar's choice today, but I'm keen to see it as well. I think DiCaprio is an extremely talented actor and have been quite taken with many of his different roles, although I've never seen Titanic.

Anyway, give us a shout if you'd like to join us at Cinema Paradiso and we'll plan accordingly. Cheers, Patrizzio! Pics: New
armadietti and chaos to be addressed!
